After 12 hours of creative thinking, designing, coding and a fair amount cheering, it was time to close the lids on the laptops. The hackathon concluded with all teams presenting their work. All hackathoners gathered in the main meeting room to celebrate their hard work with a well-deserved beer.

The teams have been working for more than two hours now, and the rooms are filled with energy and enthusiasm. The teams struggled to connect to the development blades (machines) in Oslo due to slow broadband connection, but we were able to increase the bandwidth a bit and the situation is pretty much stable now.

This week, all the members of Confirmit R&D have gathered in Yahonty, a small town outside Moscow. Today, we are having a mini-hackathon which will run for 12 hours straight. A hackathon, a hacker neologism, is an event where programmers meet to do collaborative computer programming.
